To not get fired
But to be fair
My employer does just enough
No more No less
To inspire
Maybe it’s the way I’m wired
The job’s not bad
But I want more
More out of this dead-end routine
More reward for my time
And I don’t mean more money
I want to be great at something
Something more than sitting behind this desk
Pretending to be busy
Pretending to be alive
